I have had arthritis since I was in my 30s and have tried everything and every tablet and nothing would take the pain away.  I had nearly given up, when my daughter told me about Victor at Purelife who did acupuncture and that it works and  so quickly.  So I went along and after my first session I walked out with no pain and I now come back every 2 weeks and I can say I can go 2 weeks with no pain at all.  I just wish I had come years ago as I feel amazing. LD

Following a horse riding accident I was left with pain in my arm and tingling and numbness in my hand.  The doctor prescribed strong pain killers and said it would take months to heal.  However, after only two acupuncture treatments at Purelife all of the symptoms were gone. SS

Last summer I had an accident at work and badly injured my knee.  I was in a wheelchair for a month and then on crutches for a further two months and was in a lot of pain and discomfort.  I friend recommend I see Victor at Purelife Solutions as he had sorted out his back problem.  I arrived feeling very nervous but after a short wait in the very nice, warm reception area Victor came out to meet me and quickly put me at ease.  We discussed my condition and Victor recommended massage and then acupuncture.  I explained I was a little nervous and that acupuncture sounded painful but Victors calm manner soon reassured me.  I must say the treatment was not painful at all and, to my surprise, very relaxing. The next day Victor rang to see how I was.  During the next few days my knee felt much better, I stopped taking the painkillers and, for the first time in several months, took our dog out for a gentle walk without a walking stick.  I have continued to make a full recovery and have recommended Victor to all my friends and family.  AF

I recently had some acupuncture sessions with Victor at Purelife Solutions, as I suffer from IBS. I was extremely impressed , as I was expecting it to be very painful. However, I found it to be a relaxing experience and not how I imagined it at all. Victor is marvellous, as are all the staff at Purelife and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and to top it all, my IBS has improved dramatically. I am a very happy bunny!  EOB

 Cupping

Cupping is used in traditional Chinese medicine to stimulate acupuncture points on larger areas of the body.  It's carried out with glass or bamboo cups and a vacuum is created inside the cup by inserting a flame and removing it, then placing the cup onto the area to be treated.  The vacuum anchors the cup to the body and the skin covered is drawn up a few millimetres into the cup.  The cups are then left in place for up to 20 minutes.  It is a wonderfully relaxing treatment and can help with a variety of conditions.

I have tried creams, gels, exercise, beauty treatments, etc and whilst I did see some improvements I have never experienced results like I have from a treatment called cupping.  I was so glad I tried cupping as it has been the best ever treatment I have experienced for seeing quick and very effective results.  I can honestly say after the first treatment I could see a difference.  It makes your legs feel ‘lighter’ and your skin looks and feel very smooth.  I am now hooked and it will take a lot of persuasion to convince me to try any other type of cellulite treatment.  PH

Acupuncture found to help reduce hot flushes. Evidence presented atthe largest UK acupuncture research forum, the ARRC Symposium, highlighted the benefits of acupuncture to reduce the severity and frequency of hot flushes in postmenopausal women. The results of the study, completed in 2009, concluded that acupuncture can contribute to a clinically relevant reduction in hot flushes and increased health related quality of life.

Tai Chi helps beat depression in the elderly: Combining a weekly Tai Chi exercise class with standard depression treatment leads to greater improvement in depression symptoms for elderly adults. The study was carried out on 112 adults aged 60 or over with major depression. Greater improvements in quality of life, memory and cognition, and overall energy, were also seen in the tai chi group.
